Integration
Integration is the work of making sense of a session afterwards, and turning what surfaced into lasting change.
Integration is what happens after a session ends. It covers the reflection, the conversations, the writing, and the small changes in habit that decide whether an insight becomes part of how somebody actually lives.
It is easy to underrate, because nothing dramatic happens during it. A session can open something up in an afternoon. Integration is the slower business of catching what came up while it is still clear, and finding somewhere for it to land in an ordinary week.
In practice it is unglamorous. Writing down what you noticed in the day or two afterwards. Saying it out loud to someone. Turning one thing into an action small enough to repeat.
It is not a fixed programme and it does not run to a schedule. Integration is usually described in weeks rather than hours, and it is normal for the meaning of a session to keep shifting during that time.
